I stumbled across this cute story (part of the fanbook Flavor*Clover by the circle Harurisha I believe, though the cover is to another doujin) on a Chinese blog the other day, and thought it was worth sharing. I would have just scanlated it for easier reading, but it seems the scanner's policy is no redistribution, so I'm just going to offer a translation. To access the original post, see this post and google translate (or some other translation service, I suppose) the part in red, as well as the line afterward to figure out the password. (I would just give it to you, but I'd feel slightly bad, so I tried to make it as effortless as possible...if you really can't figure it out, let me know and I'll tell you)

Without further ado:
Translation ahoy...!Collapse )

It's been forever since my last post, but I've been busy with various projects (you might've seen me hop around your fandom occasionally) and here's the first solo work I've done in a while. It's really rough, since I can't really claim to actually know Japanese, but I made a lot of educated guesses, and I marked anything that I basically had no idea about.

With the recent Gundam SEED remake, my love for the series has rekindled with a passion, and I've been scrounging around Pixiv for yummy pictures of various pairings. One of my favorite pairings, ShinnKira (preferably in that order) is sadly underrepresented, but I came across this beautiful work by とみ (the Shinn/Kira is mostly platonic though) the other day and I really wanted to share it (because it's really annoying to only look at the pretty pictures and have to make up the dialogue on your own...). The artist has done a couple other works as well, and I may post them as well if time permits. The same goes for any other works I find on Pixiv, including AsuKira and possibly even CanaKira.

**DISCLAIMER: I do not in any way claim this work for my own, and do not mean any disrespect to the artist who drew it**
If you come across any complaints about this, please let me know, and I'll take them down immediately.

Realllly long images under the cut...Collapse )

Link to original work: Pixiv
Links if you want to download the translation (long pages): Page 1, Page 2
If you'd prefer the images cut up into more bite-sized pieces, I can do that too, so just let me know :)

That's it for now, but look (tentatively) forward to more~ I might consider taking requests too, if the comic is really nice. Also, if you are even slightly familiar with Pixiv navigation, it would be great if you could rate/bookmark/leave a comment on the artist's work (if only to give them more motivation to draw? :D) even if you don't know Japanese (like I don't...) Thanks!

Hmm, so I guess I had a bit more done than I thought, or maybe I was subconsciously rushing to get the rest done because I'm leaving tomorrow for DC for a couple days, but whatever the case, chapter 27 is ready for release today. I apologize immensely for the crappy cleaning quality, I'm not really sure how it came out that badly. Usually I do better than that, but I guess I've been spoiled by editing only HQ scans so far. If you find any blaring mistakes, I'd be grateful if you'd point them out, because I don't have a dedicated proofreader/QCer, and I'm definitely not opposed to reuploading a v2 of any of the pages rather than just leave the mistake there. I've decided to forgo friends locking scanlation entries.

But since none of you actually read any of that intro stuff, here are the links:

If you'd like, I could upload to other sites, but I find that these two are usually acceptable. I'd prefer if all reuploads were left to me though, despite all the good samaritans out there, because it makes it easier for me to update the links if they expire or I release a better version. The less copies of the old stuff floating around, the better ^_^

For those of you who have ever been around the Baltimore area, is it really as bad as people make it out to be? I'm visiting Johns Hopkins, but I'm staying closer to the Homewood campus, which I heard is relatively safer, but I've pretty much been a suburban resident my entire life, so I'm not particularly sure... (I also have this ridiculous urge to visit Charm City Cakes, though I've only seen the show like 5 times...)

To commemorate my revival, I offer you a 53 page translation, complete with Chinese transcription for ease of comparison (albeit in simplified instead of traditional characters, but most of them are similar enough that I'm sure you'll be able to tell what goes in which bubble). Page numbers are the ones used in the Chinese raws, if you're confused. Feel free to ask for any clarification or point out any errors, or even suggest a better way to put some phrase. But if you have any corrections, please notify me as soon as possible, because I've already got it 75% scanlated, and am prepared to release it within a week. On that note, please do not scanlate using this translation, or else I may be forced to rescind the week's grace period on any future translation and simply automatically friends lock them.

Cut because this is one freaking long script...Collapse )

So I finally decided to give this journal its much needed revival and revamp, though it took me nearly the whole summer (I had a rather unproductive summer this year *sigh*). I suspect it has something to do with a renewed fanaticism toward certain series, but I hope that it'll last this time. College applications are looming ahead, so I'm not sure how much I can contribute to the fandom, but I'll try my best to get a few releases in in between. With all the copyright drama around the manga industry recently, this probably isn't the greatest time, but it's not like I'm making any money off this, so I don't think I'll have any problems. Kuroshitsuji already has a dedicated group though, and I don't particularly like the direction Nabari has taken, so I'll focus on different projects for now. On that note, if anyone has any scans of FF7 SephCloud doujinshi, I'd be happy to help translate/scanlate :)

New project for me~ I don't think GFantasy gets enough love <3 because some of it's series are pretty amazing. This is a pretty rough translation, and I'm not sure if I'm going to scanlate it, so just ask before using, please ^^.

I'm a demon and a scanlator~ ;pCollapse )

The elusive translations for 45 are out~ Plus I'm releasing a v2 of my chapter 43, because after reinstalling my graphics card driver (since my motherboard broke) I took a look at the scans and realized how dusty the whites were. Get the new version here. It's a dramatically smaller file size as well...I wonder if I over leveled a bit this time. Links on the original release post have also been updated.

But on to the main event~~! Collapse )

It's the end of volume 8! Sorry for the long wait, but 44 might be out next week, and I'm trying to finish the gap before school starts (ugh...school) But anyways, 43 doesn't have that much MiharuxYoite love, but there is a lot of YukimixYoite and even a little GauxYoite...Thus begins Yoite's backstory. Only one 4-panel comic this time ;_; and I can't say I edited that well either...Oh well, I was a little lazy doing this chapter in the first place. Sorry for any blurriness or dust >.<

No sendspace because it's really not a very good file host...I don't know why I used it in the first place. Anyways, enjoy!

Feel free to discuss here, but please put up a warning for spoilers ^^

*whew* That was probably the fastest I've ever edited 55 pages...probably the only time I've edited a chapter that long actually...It's the end of volume 7! Lots of questions answered, as well as new ones arising. The beginning is kind of psychotic as well as sad, but I included some extras to lighten the mood =] I guess I give up on the whole ‘no scanlation group thing’ It seems like it’s impossible after all...so I guess I’m officially ‘Potpourri scans’ now. Oh well...

This being my first Nabari scanlation (and livejournal post in general), I'll probably need an introduction: I pretty much dislike the concept of scanlation groups, although I've been in a few, and I prefer to freelance. As it states in the credits page of this chapter, I would appreciate it if you didn't call me a 'group' since I'm not really affiliated with the raw/translation providers. If it's absolutely necessary (I think it is for mangaupdates....) then don't put "eve-tenshi" as the group name because that makes it look like I did everything. Instead just call it: Potpourri (w/ or w/o 'scans' at the end of it) since it's a group made of miscellaneous unrelated people ^^.

That being said, I hope you enjoy this chapter and and chapter 38 which (I hope) will be coming soon:
